Mysterious bloggers have outed themselves (again)! (well, we had guessed....there are stylistic similarities with last year's welcome innovation at Pwllheli - and who but Jenny C-J would dare to comment on HRHs handbag!). We have to tell Jenny C-J that we want the blog back next year - well, how else would we know that the Race Office is suffering delirium? [not even Jenny C-J dared mention the PRO, we notice!] Please vote for Liv Risk and Jenny Campbell-James by Sending Email

"'Beastly Easterlies' scuppered the chance of any sailing on day four" at Largs

Sarah Ayton....oops, Dempsey....goes selecting

"wind blows and blows and blows" at Largs; blogger prays for a fair and steady wind for last day, with changed SIs posted

She just signed off - early night for early riser? - or the prospect of a night out on the town we wonder.

Largs on Thursday

Early bird at Largs reports difficult conditions….“it is looking exciting - let's hope it is not too exciting”….follow the action on Thursday’s Blog

Kalderon & Sibthorp back in front in the Women’s

With a discard kicking in, Phil Sparks & Ben Gratton now have a 9-point lead, following another bullet in today’s only race. Ben Palmer & Konrad Weaver took 2nd to keep 2nd on 15 points. Matt Rainback & Simon Foskett’s 3rd (coupled with the discard) sees them in 3rd overall on 21.

Rebecca Kalderon & Rosie Sibthorp have pulled it back, now with a 4-point lead over Amy Seabright & Katrina Brewer - in 6th, on the same points as Tim Gratton & Ed Riley, both using their discards for today’s race.

Discarding their R1 OCSs, Mike Wood & Hugh Brayshaw and Imogen & Hermione Stanley are back in contention in 7th and 8th respectively, though Sam Robinson & Peter Alton are one point off the Stanley stern on 40. Joanna Freeman & Hannah Marsden are 10th on 45.

See full Results and Karenza’s commentary on Day 3. In case the Blogger is up and about as early on Thursday as she was today (preparing her curtsies for HRH?), you may need to find her Thursday Blog via the Event Website!

Mysterious blogger ousted from Race Office by HRH

Today’s blog is better than ever! Not much racing yet apparently….not sure if this is because no results possible while HRH togs up, or because the “420 course….is very lumpy and very windy”…..entertainment assured as “the pipers have arrived, (but) there is still no chance of sailing - we had a gust of 41kts!”. It seems our blogger is intrepid (we knew she was!) and coping with the drafts while barred from the Race Office…....all good at Largs then! ...subsequent reference to Royal handbag...

Phil & Ben extend lead & Amy & Katrina have the edge for the women tonight after 5 races

Sparks & Gratton have built a 23-point lead over Ben Palmer & Konrad Weaver. It was a good day for Tim Gratton & Ed Riley, who moved up from 7th yesterday to 3rd tonight, on the same, 30, points as Ben and Konrad and Amy Seabright & Katrina Brewer, who have taken a 3-point lead over Rebecca Kalderon & Rosie Sibthorp.

Tuesday’s Blog, Results and Karenza's Day 2 Conclusions

When in Scotland…..420s get great photos!

Last time we were in Largs for the Youths, four years ago, we had the best photo service…..and Alan Henderson of Fotoboat and Marc Turner are back in action. Thanks to them, we have put the Dinghy Show behind us on the Rolling Photos! And we will post a photo Gallery in due course. Of course, our web pics are low resolution; you will need to see their highly printable handiwork.

Sparks & Gratton extend lead, while Kalderon & Sibthorp and Seabright & Brewer still neck and neck after 4
